Notes: This impossibly tasty 7.6% IPA is positively stuffed with gobs of Galaxy, Motueka, Mosaic, and Experimental 06277 hops, making for big, beautiful notes of peach, passionfruit, and tropical radness over a backbone of ripe citrus.

16oz canned 12/11/19. Opened 1/17/20.
Creamy and dense white head with stellar retention. Sits like a rock for a long time and leaves thick fresh lacing.
Orange-gold and opaque IPA.
Tropical fruits, stone fruits, and citrus...loads of hop aroma. A pineapple, peach, orange trifecta. A green weedy note is noticeable midway underneath the fruit. Honeydew melon late.
Orange and key lime. Melon plays a prominent note, more so in the flavor than aroma.
Full bodied, medium carbonation and a creamy, soft mouthfeel. Medium length finish with a creamsicle like flavor and a mild but persistent citrus rind bitterness.
Very good. First MT beer and I'm impressed. Fantastic looking beer and standout in the "feel".

Bottled 12/09/2019, drank on 01/16/2020. Served at fridge temperature in a Gulden Draak goblet.
L - Pours murky light yellow with half a finger's width of head that recedes into a wispy ring. No lacing to speak of.
S - Very subdued aromas of peach, cantaloupe, green grapes, passion fruit. Faint phenolic notes as well. Smells inviting.
T - Starts sweet, very fruity on the palate. Hops kick in mid palate to provide some balance, but never taking away the sweetness. Finishes dry.
M - On the lighter side of medium.
Drinks much lighter than a 7.6% ABV IPA; if I had to guess, I'd put it around 5% or so. Extremely well made. Worth a revisit in the future.

On tap at Rocket Dog Brats & Brews

A: Pours hazy deep golden amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a thin layer and leaves some nice lacing.

S: Initial smell is actually pretty green like a bag of hops, but it slowly opens up to tropical fruit, zesty citrus, and pine, rounded out with biscuity malt and a touch of caramel sweetness.

T: Zesty citrus, lime, lemon, and grapefruit, grassy, resinous pine, some tropical fruit, pineapple, papaya, apricot, passion fruit, and peach, hints of melon, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness. Fresh passion fruit lingers on the finish.

M: A touch on the fuller side of medium body, slightly prickly carbonation, yet still a bit creamy.

O: Not what I was expecting given the hop combo, but still a solid brew. It's hazy like a NE style, but it's got some bitterness like a West Coast style. I dig it.

Pours light yellow color with the slightest haze, and plenty of foam in the Piraat tulip. It's brewed with flaked oats but apparently not enough to turn it to murk. Aromatics are delightful and complex. According to the brewer this is made with Galaxy, Motueka, Mosaic, and Sultana hops.

Smells of passionfruit, lime, and a whiff of gardenia. Tastes like tangerine juice with some pineapple. The bitter finish is straight-out IPA. Medium malty sweetness and rather rich with the dose of alcohol. Overall an interesting hoppy brew that well worth tasting. From the 16 oz can purchased at Liticker's Liquor in Ocean Beach.

Yes! Now this is what I am talking about. I love Modern Times. And every time they release a new beer, I expect it to be a Mark McGwire home run during the steroid era. And even though that isn’t the case for every release, right here we have one that was hit deep I go the night. Pop the can and you’ll think that you are smoking a reefer in the Bahamas with Gonzo. I mean, this thang is lush and hella tropical. Pour is a vibrant, golden orange like my home, the coasts of OC during a summer twilight. Taste is huge, large and in charge, but also reserved like Lexie Howard drinking his daily cup of tea. Wow!

Get this and get it good!
