on tap at their impressive portland location, a crisp pilsener as its base, but evolved this time to feature lime and sea salt, making what is already an easy drinking lager something especially quenching for summer weather, this seemed like the perfect beer for their sunny rooftop patio! the lime is natural, zesty but modestly dosed, and the salt all comes on at the finish, so this doesnt seem over flavored to me at all, rather accented by the extras, and the base beer is still obvious in here, even though ive never had it on its own, its obviously a nice and easy drinking pils with plenty of the dry crackery malt presence in the mix and a snappy european lager yeast drying everything out. this has nice carbonation that makes the lime pop, an obviously professional level of execution, and a familiar noble hop profile that is curiously transformed by the lime into something seemingly a little more new world and modern. i like the way the salt dries the finish even more, and really this ends up as a delicious and intriguing all day drinker that is light and flavorful at the same time. finally a craft beer answer to white claw that is actually satisfying as a beer!
