12oz can from Steve. These were all very similar, and so are the ratings. Near black pour with a slight beige head. Aroma is a blend of vaniila, chocolate and roasty malts. Vanilla prominent in the taste, rich sweet flavors on top of a silky smooth stout. Really nice.

Good head production; fantastic retention, especially considering the ABV.
Nose is rich, dark, and sweet, with notes of syrup, vanilla, and coconut. Molasses, licorice, cardamom, brown sugar, light toast.
Wonderfully rich on the palate, as well. Sweet, but stops shy of a real dessert beer or pastry stout - but barely. The coconut and vanilla combine to give an impression of banana for a fleeting moment on the front third.
Syrup, vanilla, banana, coffee, chocolate, brown sugar; very light toast and toffee in the middle, along with some red grape, dark fruit, and rye bread; boozy heat on the finish, with notes of red grape and vanilla, and a lip-smacking aftertaste of molasses and bitter coffee. Vanilla throughout the sip, but most prominent right up front and again on the finish.
Big and bold; no real hiding the ABV, but it's a very smooth sipper. Lively sting. Full bodied but well shy of chewy.
