The delicious result of several years of masterful re-re-remixing, this glorious cuvée would be a shoe-in to headline the NOW THAT’S WHAT I CALL DECADENCE tour—if tours were still a thing. This year’s amalgam consists of Beastmaster (aged in bourbon & applejack barrels), Cloud Daggers, Doom Hawk (aged in bourbon barrels), Dragon Mask (aged in rye whiskey barrels), Infinity Gauntlet (aged in bourbon barrels), Mega Devil's Teeth (aged in Kentucky whiskey & rye whiskey), Modem Tones (aged in bourbon barrels), Monsters Park (aged in bourbon & applejack barrels), Parliament of Birds (aged in bourbon barrels), and Suggestion of Mass (aged in bourbon barrels). Your first sip may be followed by a spontaneous little jig, so don’t be alarmed when it happens.

The thing is, when you mix a bunch of beers together they will, well, average out. So probably not the best of any of them and likely not the worst either; just a blend of potent beers that individually may be awesome but blended with other awesome beers makes a good beer.
Still, it was nice to try. And certainly it was very good, just maybe not as good as the individual beers that made it up.

Matte black with two fingers of mocha head that settle fairly quickly into a wisp and thick crown.
Chocolate, nougat, caramel, leather, vanilla and walnut in the nose.
Strong vanilla in the taste with nice chocolate undertones, touches of nuts and nougat, and good alcohol heat with some rye spiciness.
Great, creamy, slick feel with some slow-building zip in the carbonation.

Every MT BA bottle comes with a built-in chubby. Is that just me? 22 oz. bottles split with my lovely wife who allow me to spend ridiculous amounts of money on beer.
BLACK. The nose is seething with rye – I approve heartily – chocolate, booze, & caramel cookies.
Wizard Blend. Amalgamate. Union. Conjunct. Combine. Eve 6 has a good new song: “Can We Combine?” You should check it out. This tastes as described: a little splash of every barrel that exists. Oak up front that parches the palate followed by barrels in order: brandy, rye, applejack, with only a faint whisper of bourbon that subsumed by the cacophony of everything else. The beer itself is an afterthought of caramel, chocolate, happiness, & light roast. Thick but not pastry thick. I could drink this for hours.
Well hell. I only have one more MT BA brew in the house & it saddens me. Hopefully more will be making the trip to my zip code soon. Excellent brew.
