Blend of Monster’s Park and Beastmaster aged in apple brandy barrels
Dark brown brew, viscous as hell...no carbonation or head. Nose is oaky and boozy, with strong notes of molasses and unsweetened cocoa. The apple notes jump out to the front of the palate, largely due to it’s uniqueness. Burnt sugar, carob, drying oak are all easily parsed. Carbonation is non-existent, as a syrupy, chewy complexion leads to a sweet, chocolate finish, with lingering residuals that never seem to completely go away.
Definitely a sipper but what an amazing beverage. Given the circumstances under which this was produced, it’s unfortunate it wasn’t more widely distributed.
