Another 22 oz. Modern Times stout! Life is good. Although people who tightly wrap their bottles with electrical tape & allow it to harden need to be slapped with a ruler. Hard.
The pour is darker than a night in the Tombs with minimal if any evident life. Checking its pulse brings an aroma of strong, sticky booze & wild fruits soaked in a still. Not bad.
Beastmonster is aptly named. The base stout shines through the barrels with chocolate, sticky buns, & caramel. The booze sweeps in & stomps all of that before yielding to a finish of decadent port & a sweet bowl of cherries. Mouthfeel, oh the mouthfeel. If it weren’t for the heartburn from an earlier greasy meal I could take a big bottle of this solo. The bliss!
Another banger from the a brewery that seemingly can’t help making them. Excellent beer & a superb use of port barrels.
