ROUND 2! This extremely-beloved member of our Extraordinary Times series was born of a meticulously selected blend of Modem Tones Aged in Maple Barrels, Modem Tones Aged in Bourbon Barrels, Mega Devil's Teeth Aged in Domestic Brandy Barrels, & Monsters' Park Aged in Bourbon Barrels. Once the blend was at peak radness, we introduced it to ridiculous amounts of Madagascar vanilla, flaked and toasted coconut, and house-roasted Idea Machine coffee. The result is a liquid layer cake with tons of coconut, followed by big notes of dark chocolate and mocha.

Excellent. Pastry nose, lots of coconut, relatively mild vanilla. Coffee adds some balance but isn’t overly strong. Full bodied, good and lighter carbonation. Toasted coconut and a touch of whiskey on the finish.

Yeah, this one is pretty wild - like a hog that got into granny’s candy drawer.
Straight up flavors on flavors that meet a deep richness that would make Scrooge McDuck trip out if he had a taste. Which he won’t, because Raul is going to down this entire thing.
Peace.

Thanks again to D09daryl for this 22 oz. bottle – I am always lusting after Modern Times stouts. Split with my wife. I can’t keep MT from her. You’d find my body in the Mississippi.
Black with nary a bubble showing. One of those rare noses where everything appears, & strongly: vanilla, caramel, bourbon, chocolate. Cake indeed.
Medicare For All, Now is not only a philosophy I can (generally if not specifically) get squarely behind, but this beer. This beer. Big hits of vanilla, coconut, & caramel blend into a seamless chorus of cake & joy. Blast of chocolate overruns the mid-palate that runs into a finish of wood, light bourbon, & a gentle hip thrust of booze. Coffee is MIA, but that’s OK, because this is thick & luscious as Australian Merino Wool (though you don’t drink that). I’d happily have taken this big bottle solo.
The relative lack of advertised barrels is the only thing that keeps this from rattling the top of the stratosphere, but this is a master class in adding ingredients to a magnificent base. Cake indeed. Outstanding beer.

This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like sweet creamy toasted coconut, sweet vanilla, caramel, mocha, chocolate cake, bourbon, and coffee.
This is pretty absurdly tasty, as a lot of Modern Times stouts tend to be. Slightly colder, it's a coconut vanilla delight, both melding into one another very well, like a high quality truffle. As the beer warms, that coffee character comes more to the forefront, adding some earthy decadence that helps balance it. There's some light barrel here, nothing intense - the adjuncts carry the show here.
This is medium bodied, with absolutely no booziness. It's really velvety and creamy and overall super drinkable.
This is absurdly decadent and hits a lot of notes that I really love.
