Slow to produce head from a fairly strong pour, but it does eventually produce a solid two fingers of slightly pink foam. Body is lively and hazily translucent, permitting silhouettes and shadow to penetrate but no clarity. Color is a pleasing cross between copper, orange, and pink.
Wonderfully fruity and floral aroma; it takes a few sniffs to really pick apart the individual fruit notes, because it blends together quite well. Pineapple, guava, and orange all definitely play their part in the overall melange, and I suspect the hibiscus as well, although the floral notes are a bit muted under the fruit. There's a light sourness, but barely little more of a vinegary sourness than you'd expect from the tartness of the fruit.
Rather light and delicate on the palate, especially considering the high ABV. The fruit blend together a bit too well, giving it more of a fruit punch character. The orange, in particular, takes the lead; the sweetness of the pineapple is barely noticeable. The guava does add a slight pungent earthiness, but it's clearly not the start of the show. Fairly strong tannins, imparting a tea-like quality - not unlike a fruited hibiscus tea, in fact. Not overly sour.
Moderate body; drinks much heavier than a traditional Berliner Weisse, but at 7%, it should.
This comes across as a fairly faithful go at the "Florida Weisse" style, instead of a pure fruited kettle sour (albeit at a high ABV). It's simply not quite sour enough for real sour territory, and the fruit are absolutely the focus, even if the resulting blend is a bit messy on the palate. It's very tasty, and manages to still come across as lively and refreshing despite the ABV.
