This mega dessert porter was layered with vanilla beans, cocoa nibs, hazelnuts, and house-roasted Black House coffee.

Poured pitch black and was topped with a one finger soft brown head.
The aroma had more vanilla and coffee than hazelnut, which rather surprised me.
The taste followed- almost no hazelnut was detected but vanilla, coffee and cocoa were all present. Not at all the pastry Porter the description implied, which was fine with me.
The feel was thin but as I was drinking a Porter and not a stout, I thought it just fine.
OA, I think I would have a few of these in the cellar if they were available here. Good beer.

Black but no head foam.

Nuts, coffee. Hazelnut's usually unmistakable but this isn't pronounced.

Had an old Bomb! once and the peppers had faded out, this beer reminds me of what was left. Not what I'd call pastry, flavors are more roasted than sweet. Could've called it s'more and I wouldn't have balked. Minimally bitter coffee, minimally bitter dark chocolate, hazelnuts & vanilla is definitely background.

Thicker wouldn't be bad but what's here is very good.
