Soft Swerve - Banana Coconut Sundae

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours nearly black, appearing opaque black in the glass, with virtually no head, only a sparse ring of bubbles around the glass. Aroma of dark toasted malt, milk chocolate, coconut and faint banana, lightly boozy. Flavor is sweet dark toasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, coconut and a touch of banana; a little alcohol in the finish with chocolate and coconut. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. Adequate carbonation despite the nearly still pour. As expected, a big, rich dessert stout. Lots of chocolate and vanilla with moderate coconut. Banana seems to be quite faint with just a little banana ester in the finish. Full flavored and dessert sweet, this required some restraint to sip slowly. This is big enough that a bomber is a bit more than one night's entertainment, a good candidate for canning in a more approachable serving.

L: A reddish-black color.
S: A strong smooth light milky chocolate smell.
T: True to it's name, it's a very sweet vanilla creamy start with a sugary banana coconut body and a light syrupy but dark chocolate finish.
F: A very light, sweet ice cream.
O: A very unique and simple sundae ice cream in a beer botte.

Thick oily black body. Not unbearably sweet- the banana spice rounds out the sweeter coconut nicely. Mild nuttiness, chocolate fudge and sugary marshmallow. Mild whiskey warmth smooths out the sweet fudge, adds a slight dryness. Full body. Lower carb.

Sweet roasty milk chocolate, hint of vanilla-coconut, faint hint of banana, and hint of almond nutty nose on this one! Taste follows with an almond chocolate malty and vanilla, hint of coconut finish...there wasn't much banana on the palate initially, but as it warmed, it started to peek out a little bit at least. This drinks fantastic and is not too syrupy. Even though I was hoping for more coconut and banana, this is still really good and enjoyable to drink!
