This one pours a fairly dark brown, almost black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.

This smells like caramel, chocolate, spicy and leathery bourbon, oaky spice, char, brown sugar, etc.

This one tastes pretty awesome. There’s a lot of barrel here, char, vanilla, oak, leather, all of that sort of stuff. It’s got that silky malt backbone you want, toffee, burnt sugar, molasses, caramel.

This is medium bodied, pretty much no booze or anything like that. It’s quite smooth and very drinkable.

Modern Times is obviously very well known for their pastry stouts, but the Orc Lord series, especially when it doesn’t get the pastry treatment, is also quite good.
