Pint at Westside Taphouse in West Salem OR.
$6.00
Pours a clear brown/Amber color body. Nice frothy/clingy beige head.
Toasty malty aromas. Brown bread toast and hazelnut. Nice.
Taste is about the same
Toffee, bitter light coffee and nuts.
Mouth feel is nice.. medium body..good for this low alc. Smooth.
A nice enough Vienna but we are really spoiled up here for local choices

Look: Semi-clear copper with a nice looking but short-lived head that leaves good lacing behind as it settles
Aroma: Warm bread crust, earthy hops, melanoidin, light spicy hop notes, and toffee
Taste: Follows nose well. Fresh baked bread and earthy and spicy hops start it off and develop depth while toasted cereal grains come into the mix and work in nicely until it closes with more bready malt and hops
Mouthfeel: Full but light, clean, medium-high carbonation, and a clean and slightly crisp finish
Overall: Tasty stuff here. An easy drinking and refreshing Vienna and somewhat surprising that I’m enjoying it this much given that these folks specialize and are known for hazy-ish IPAs and flavored/barrel aged stouts, although in my experience, most things I’ve had from them that doesn’t fit that mold, like this one, have been good
