I know I didn’t buy this at the Binky Burger up the street but…thanks to whomever sent it my way. MT Stouts. My thing. 22 oz. bottle.
Hard black. Even warmed this doesn’t do much for the nasal: sweet malts, fair amount of fruity sherry.
Monsters’ Park – Schmanahan’s Sherry-Finished Whiskey Barrels seethes with sherry. It drowns the bourbon – I can’t even taste it - & renders the malts a distant rumor that might or might not be imagined. Touch of oak on the finish. That’s it. Substantial. But I’m not inclined to drink the entire 11 ounces in my glass.
A rare miss from Modern Times, this is a massive disappointment. One note & shy of mediocre.
