Poured a slightly hazy straw yellow with a small, quick head that settles to a thin ring. Light carbonation rising through the glass and a bright, summery appearance overall.
Aroma leans entirely on grapefruit. Fresh zest, ruby red juice, and a little citrus pith sit on top of light bready malt. Hop character is minimal, more citrus fruit than classic IPA aromatics.
Flavor follows the nose almost exactly. Sharp and zingy grapefruit hits first, bringing juice and rind together. There is a touch of mango or soft tropical fruit in the background, but the beer stays focused on grapefruit from start to finish. Hop bitterness is mild, almost gentle, making this drink more like a citrus-forward pale or a fruit beer than a West Coast session IPA.
Mouthfeel is crisp and easy, light to medium bodied, with balanced carbonation that keeps it refreshing without feeling thin. At around five percent it drinks fast, clean, and very sessionable.
Overall:
Hello Grapefruit delivers exactly what the name promises. Bright grapefruit flavor, refreshing citrus aroma, and an easy drinking body that fits warm weather perfectly. It is not a hop-driven IPA and does not bring much dankness or bitterness, but as a fruit-forward sessionable beer it works well. A simple, enjoyable grapefruit sipper that hits best in the heat.

Slightly hazy straw yellow. Little to no head, poured from a fresh can into a double-walled glass.
Smells of grapefruit zest and light bready malts. Not much hop character.
Tastes the same...zingy grapefruit, but not much else. Pretty single-noted...and where's the hops? I expected something hoppier, a West Coast IPA with grapefruit, but wait, is this 5%?? That's actually kind of amazing. This is light and sessionable then.
Hmmm...this is good, it's just not my style. I guess on a hot day in the summer (it's rainy and cool today) this might "hit different," as the kids say.
Solid.

As soon as I popped the can it was all grapefruit all the way. Flavor follows with the distinct taste of ruby red. Quite delicious. Tho this was part of a sampler 12 I could easily pick up a sixer of this and be happy.

Very little hop character either I. The aroma or in the taste. Grapefruit, for sure. IPA, session or not, not so much. What hop character there is is a mild pie spice in taste. Not sure I would have it again. Modern Times, when you’re good you’re amazing. This is not that.

12 oz. can poured into a snifter glass. Hello Grapefruit pours a fairly clear light copper with a half inch of just off white foam. Cap lingers for just a minute of two.
Aroma is all grapefruit pith, grapefruit juice. Taste is thin and fruity with a balanced carbonation for what it is and with a hint of muddled mango on the finish. Feel is simple and doesn't come across as thin like many a session IPA but it's an easy balance with it being fruit forward vs. danky hoppy.
Overall a bit odd for me. Doesn't have the ABV to merit an IPA moniker, and without any significant hop notes even a session IPA seems a reach. Decent but not seeking out another. Warming helps a bit to add a touch of complexity to an otherwise one horse race.
Canned on 7/15/22 and part of a mixed 12 pack.
