If you’re into peaches and ripe citrus, this right here is going to be your jam. We stuffed this West Coast IPA with a thunderous avalanche of Citra and Galaxy hops, yielding a vibrant mélange of stone fruit, tangerine, grapefruit, and pineapple, with a subtle floral character that really ties the whole shebang up in a delicious bow.

Clear amber brew with sticky foam in the tall Jack Daniels glass. Fruity aroma with orange peel. Pleasantly sweet to start, with the (yes) peach and orange flavors. A bit of candied citrus but well balanced with just enough acidity. Moderate bitterness. A thoroughly drinkable hoppy brew that shows more restraint than too many Modern Times concoctions in recent history. From the six-pack of 12 oz cans. Dated 7/22/22. From Trader Joes.

Can poured into a Modern Times Beer glass
A: Pours golden amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and leaves a little thin lacing.
S: Tropical and stone fruit, citrus, faintly grassy and resinous, bready malt, and a little caramel sweetness.
T: Big tropical and stone fruit, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, apricot, peach, a bit resinous, some citrus, orange, lime, lemon, and a hint of grapefruit, bready malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: A touch on the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: Really solid tropical IPA.

On tap at Modern Times Leisure World in Anaheim, CA.
We aren’t talking beautiful madness at midnight here. No, Tolstoy himself would not consider this one, “Wild Ecstasy.” Still, I’m here. And it’s wetting the whistle just fine. And although this whistle might not be made of gold, bronze is still good enough for some.
