Mega Devil's Teeth is a balanced, nuanced beer. It's originated as a hybrid between an Imperial Stout and an Old Ale, and has gradually become more of a stout.
It is also an amazing barrel aged beer, picking up the nuances of a good barrel with ease. This batch was allowed to age in Elias Butte (Elijah Craig) Rye Whiskey Barrels for about 21 months. The flavors are amazing- spice, pie notes, chocolate, baked bread, subtle notes of light cocoa. It's amazing.

22 oz bomber into a snifter
Dark cola-brown appearance, a touch of carbonation but scant lacing.
The nose is of dark chocolate, molasses, grains, oak.
Good caramelly essence on the palate, carob and molasses as well. Oaky AF. Chewy complexion, lots of dessert aspects buried under its stodgy demeanor.
Running out of superlatives for the Barrel Bros at MT. Pretty much everything they come up with is perfect.
