Originally conceived as a Theory-exclusive, draft-only pour during a festival long ago, this mega-adjuncted stout is pure candy bar goodness in an over-the-top kind of way. Speaking of over-the-top, this batch of Modem Tones was aged in Elias Butte 20-year bourbon for 32 months. After finding the perfect blend, we added Toasted Coconut, Macaroon Cut Coconut, Dark Roast Coffee, Dominican Cocoa Nibs, Ugandan Vanilla, Peanuts, Hazelnuts, and Almonds. It really, really is like a candy bar. Ultra decadent.

22 oz bomber into a snifter
Probably the most decadent version of Modem Tones to date. I think I described one of their previous pastry stouts as candy bark - this is that, with a vanilla bean bomb that opens things up and lingers well after the finish.
Cake in a glass!

Sweet milk chocolate, peanut and almond nutty, a hint of mocha coffee, vanilla-coconut, and a prominent bourbon barrel boozy nose on this one! Taste follows with a creamy milk chocolate, hint of nuts, vanilla and coconut, and a bourbon barrel finish. I picked up more coffee on the nose than on the palate, but they did a pretty good job of incorporating all of the additions here. The mouthfeel on this one is more full and soft than viscous, but it works as it accentuates the milk chocolate vibes very well. Getting major candy bar vibes as it warms...this is a delicious pastryboi!
