The Base Malt, coming in at 27% of the votes, was American Pale Ale. In addition, the winning Specialty Malts were Cara Red (18%) and Rye Malt (17%). The two hops that rose above the rest were Citra at 18% and Mosaic at 15%. Yummmm!

We are now into 31 October 2019 on this site, thanks to their use of Zulu time (+0 UTC) & I want to celebrate Hallowe'en with some ghost CANs for The CANQuest (tm)!
From the CAN: "A crowdsourced India Pale Ale dry hopped with Citra and Mosaic hops that race across your palate in a lively, yet intimate and wildly exposed jaunt — flaunting tropical fruit, dank, pineapple, and mango aromatic acrobatics."; "60 IBU".
I was glad that this one made it since I had a wee accident (trip & fall) during my last BOS trip & this one survived, albeit in a dented state. If it had been a bottle, it would have been a goner!
The dents caused the liquid inside to CANpress so that the Crack!ing of the vent was a bit more forceful than usual. Once open, I beCAN a slow, gentle C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass. It rewarded me by quickly foaming up to form two-plus fingers of dense. foamy, rocky, tawny head with great retention, slowly falling away with loads of lacing in its wake. Color was a gorgeous Amber (SRM = > 7, < 9) with NE-quality clarity. The CANmercial description was modest - it smelled like a big ol' bag o' dank soaked in pineapple & mango juice! 8=O This had definite potential from the jump! Mouthfeel was actually quite full for simply being an AIPA. The taste was very tropical & fruity, but less outright sweet than like preserves with fruit chunks embedded. Mmm. It had a slight tang as a result & while I missed any outright bitterness, I liked that the tropical fruit qualities were reserved. Mmm. This kind of made me want to strip off my ghostly sheet & go for a run! Wow! Once more, this was a dangerously easy-drinking beer that had disappeared like a ghost before I even realized it. Finish was semi-dry, too fruity to be outright dry, and VERY quaffable. Be careful. YMMV.

Not bad but I was expecting more based on the small sample size of Rhinegeist beers I have access to in Cleveland.

Pours a bright golden yellow, thin but persistent head.
Smell is candied lemon and guava, slight notes of pineapple and banana.
Taste is bitter citrus peel with a light crackery malt, background of vaguely tropical sweetness.
Feel is wonderfully crisp and surprisingly light in contrast to a rather large flavor. Serious summer beer body here.
Overall this is a great little summer IPA, classic west coast bitter with some newer school hops. Very nice beer, not likely to start a hype war but plenty to love for us simple hop heads.

This is an absolutely delicious beer! I love IPA's, and this is an excellent example. Wonderful citrus aroma, excellent taste. Hoppy, but with slightly sweet notes from pineapple and mango. I might like this one even better than Truth!
