This starts with a light malt base before turning herbaceous, spicy, chivey and bitter. This tends to be my least favorite aspects of hops but this has a nice watermelon and honeycomb that off sets that initial burst. As this goes on it endears itself.

The benchmark of great breweries is their boldness, assertion and flavor that they can display in their American IPA. This collaboration between Rhinegeist and Sun King brewers deliver a fail-proof taste that celebrates America's pacific northwest hops in all their glory and a supple hop undertow to support it all.
Emergency Hop Kit pours a medium amber hue and is faintly hazed, mostly showing off its streaming carbonation and its inviting sun ray shades. Upon which a cottony white head builds and thwarts the perfumy aromatics of pink grapefruit, lemon, tangy orange and a bright herbal note. Its taste is supple with malt sweetness, trending lightly with honey and caramel, seemingly coated with a thin fructose coat.
Crossing the middle palate, the ale forgives its early perfume and sells its acidic citrus flavors high. Seemingly juicy, vibrant and ripe in citrus and tropical flavors, the taste suddenly dries and gives the late palate a dehydrated pineapple, mango, apple and apricot character. Still, its late bitterness brings out the sharp and resinous character of freshly torn pine needles, lemon verbena and tea leaf.
Though smooth, drying and crisp, the beer's medium body sheds its early sweetness and carbonated creaminess to usher in a hop-dominant finish that's laced with pine, fresh-cut grass and a spiciness seemingly of ginger. Emergency Hop Kit is a beautifully woven IPA that covers all the necessary bases and wins over the mouth with its high refreshment.

Canned unknown but purchased July 2015 and enjoyed August 4, 2015 in a Mad Elf tulip/snifter.
Look - Light orange body. Finger head with medium pour. Head is white and leaves decent lacing. Body iis see through. Very typical.
Smell - Dank. Vanilla. Citrus. Orange and grapefruit stick out the most.
Taste - More hops than citrus. Grapefruit and other citrus very mild.
Feel - Tongue tingling carbonation bomb. Not the best out there.
Overall - I know my bitter hop heads will enjoy this beer a little more than I. It is good, but not set behind the counter good. Hop forward beer.
