Yellow tan color with a good skin head and sticky lacing. Grapefruit piney hops with q good malt backbone. Very similar to the scent but maybe add some pineapple. Medium light body and carbonation. Pretty good pale.

22 oz. bottle
Served in a snifter
This beer pours orange in color with gold highlights and is murky in appearance. It is topped with one inch of off white head that leaves some nice lacing.
It has a pine and citrus aroma.
I taste malt, grapefruit and pine in that order.
Medium mouthfeel
It is a hoppy pale ale and of the quality that I expect from Rhinegeist.

Pours a medium copper color with one finger of off white head. The smell comes across with hoppy goodness highlighting mango, grapefruit and other citrus fruits with just a hint of malt. It tastes much the same way it smells with bready malt coming in mid palate. Finishes with hop spiciness with a touch of lingering bitterness. Overall, I enjoyed this pale ale and hope to get it again.

As the palate shift toward hoppier and hoppier ale, Rhinegeist keeps the classic American pale ale alive with the use of new and experimental hops that cast a bright and citrusy overtone across a caramelized bed of sweetness and a bitterly piney bite.
Exum pours bright copper and deep golden highlights. Above which, a creamy and persistent head builds and casts an array of aromatics from candied grapefruit, lemon and lime to graham cracker and toasted pecan. While the nose is perfumy with hops, the taste is sweet with caramel, light honey, brittle.
Its balance is largely even-keel with peps of hops overshadowing the malt sweetness slightly at times. The malty-sweet taste relaxes over the middle and delivers a dry graham cracker character with nutty, toasty and crusted components laying the tracks. Yet, its the hops that become the focus with their own distinct citrusy flavor, redolent with pink grapefruit, lemon, lime and under-ripened orange before developing into a sharp and bitter balance of torn pine needles and fresh grass clippings.
And with the hops commanding the finish, the medium-bodied beer is crisp, clean and understated in its residual malt balance. Bitter, drying and refreshing, the ale carries enough cullinary delight to evoke thought, but is effortless enough in drinkability to enjoy without worry. With an aftertaste of gin and graham cracker, a curious caramelized ginger character lingers.
