The classic beer flavor of Vienna doesn't simply find favor in its Austrian homeland, but also with immigrants to warm and sunny Mexico and now with the craft beer contingency in the Ohio Valley. Man does this simple little style get around!

Honey amber in color, the faintly hazed lager is kept under wrap with a creamy white, persistent, lacy froth. Its toasty-sweet scent is of soft toasted cereal and a nutty, almost cashew savoriness with a fleeting herbal hop note. Elegant and raw maltiness lays a sweet, crusted breadiness to the front of the tongue that's just shy of caramel or honey.

Its toasty-sweet taste plays out soundly through the middle and is suggestive of the crust of croissant and the nuttiness of candied pecans. Light praline is cut with the beer's seared grain edges and the slim bitterness of peppery Germanic hops that follow.

Medium-bodied and malt-forward, the beer's finish is smooth, drying and with a creamy starchiness that keeps the taste rounded and regal. Its hop balance is of lemongrass while the beer's grain profile wins out in a mid-length after-palate.
