Poured from a can into a Dragon's Milk tumbler for no reason except I had two tumblers and I wanted to compare this to a Seventh Son DIP I got at the same time. This was lighter in color and maltier and all in all not really up to the expectations I had for a limited release from Rhinegeist. It's fine, okay, unremarkable.

Clean, crisp and smooth. Not spectacular to look at or in its aroma, but it hits a home run (or at least a triple) on the most important feature....taste! Was surprised to see it in 4 pack cans rather than a bomber. Thumbs up!

Canned on 8/9/19. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours golden with solid clarity and has lots of bubbles swirling upwards; creamy eggshell white head that falls slowly leaving great thick retention and sticky lacing. The aromas have some citrus going on along with some bread and crackers. Some orange coming through from what I believe are citra hops. Malts are there. The flavors have more citrus leading the way. More orange along with some grapefruit. Nice scathing bitterness. Malts do their thing without completely dominating. Finishes juicy and dry at the same time, but it's more on the drier side. Alcohol basically goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is very nice. It's on the lighter side of full-bodied with active carbonation. It's sharp, fluffy, smooth and easy to drink.
This is a solid DIPA. It might not be anything super crazy, but it's enjoyable and well crafted. Not bad at all. I like it. It might be slightly better than my "numerical score" might indicate.

A thanks to the commander of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mild, tropical fruits, some citrus. Taste is dank, citrus, some tea and malts, less bitterness than I was expecting. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall ain't bad, but I was hoping for more.
