1 PINT, 6 FL OZ bottle
Served in a snifter
This beer pours tea colored with orange highlights. It is topped with less than an inch of tan head the doesn't leave much lacing.
The smell is spicy form the rye and sweet with hints of vanilla and oak.
The taste begins sweet with vanilla, toast, and toffee. The rye subtly comes in through the middle with a sweet toffee finish along with a second coming of the rye. It is a little dry and oaky in the finish as well.
Smooth with low carbonation. Medium to full mouthfeel
This is another great beer from a Quaff Bros. collaboration. I am not as big a fan of rye barrel aging as I am bourbon barrel aging even though I am more of a rye whiskey fan. I do like this beer a lot though.
