Limited release that should be a regular beer for them. Pours slightly copper. Head is thick and slowly fades. Lots of piney bitterness. One of their better beers.

There's certainly nothing odd about getting back to basics. Rhinegeist takes a bread from all the trendy attempts at brewing and gets down and dirty with a standard Imperial IPA that with have the most staunch hop heads come crawling. Making something that's generally common is an odd job indeed in these beer making times.
Pouring a foggy golden appearance, Odd Job gets down and dirty building a creamy white froth and a bouquet of spice, citrus, tropical fruit and a piquant booziness that all greet the nose at once. A firm maltiness coats the tongue with lighter grain flavors of honey, agave, fresh bread and rounded starchy body with those malty introductions.
But the focus on hops is short lived as the sweetness backs off and the hops explode into a full fruity fare of pineapple, orange, mango, apricot and orange. Juicy with citrus and tropical flavors, the session quickly shifts to a bitter taste that's gripping to the gullet with peppery resins, pine needles, botanical grasses, hemp and hay.
Full bodied, spicy and bitter, Odd Jobs only gets more aggressive with its bitter closure the longer that the session endures. An alcohol bite of gin, curacao liquor and vodka only fuel the spice of the hops for a resinous dryness that offers a good sense of drinkability even with its aggression. Beers like these use to be common place on the shelves and Rhinegeist gives those hop heads a taste of nostalgia.

I got a 4pck of this beer from the beer store just around the corner. It poured a very slightly pale yellow with white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had citrus peel notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with pine resin base and citrus peel highlights. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.

Pretty underwhelming for a DIPA with that hop profile

Where is the ABV?? This smooth drinker deceptively hides the alcoholic punch it provides. Unexciting nose and look, but yummy to taste and potentially dangerous to consume.

12oz. Can dated 11/08/18
Pours a hazy straw color with a white head that dissipates slowly leaving a slight lace. The smell is dank and catty. Nice mouthfeel. Very smooth with hints of citrus and lemon in the taste.

American IIPA brewed with Galaxy, Simcoe, and Mosaic hops. Poured from a can into a Rhinegeist Sabretooth Tiger tulip. The pour is dark yellow in color with a slight haze and produces a nice two-finger crown of rocky white foam with good retention. The nose is a mixed bag of fresh lemons, grapefruit, orange, and pinetrees.
Medium light body with a firm feel and a sharp, hoppy flavor. Up front I get oyster crackers, lemon, and a little honey. At mid-palate the flavor really dries out and becomes quite herbal, bringing on flavors of rose petals, white pepper, and champagne. Finishes bone dry with lingering flavors of cut grass, lemon, and tea leaves.
A solid beer, and quite appetizing with all of its dryness, but I didn't like this quite as much as I thought I would (considering the hops used). Best enjoyed with a meal, not by itself.
