I tried this at the Daily Growler in Powell, OH. It poured an opaque dark with tan head that did not leave much lace. The scent had bold chocolate notes with roast highlights. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with chocolate cake foundation. The mouthfeel was fuller in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a solid beer.

From the growler via Jungle Jim's in a snifter. This nice little Baltic
porter pours a ruby highlighted deep dark brown with a nice head
of off white pale tan foam that subsides to a thick ring, light subtle
swirling pool, and displays some nice light sudsy lacing. Nose of
light chocolate, light cream, light coffee, and moderate roast.
Flavors excel at what I personally look for in a porter...BALANCE.
Moderately sweet chocolate notes swim in light cream and
subtle coffee notes with subtle char and roast with touches
of dark fruit. Very nice mouth feel; medium body, moderate
carbonation that is enough to give some light lift, and a sweet
and lightly roasted finish.
Overall, a SOLID entry into a nice collaboration with
Cincinnati State's Brewing Science program.
Cheers
