16 ounce can, canned on 04/01/2019. Served in a nonic pint glass, the beer pours a mostly clear dark gold color with about an inch white creamy head that stuck around for a while. Head retention is decent enough. Aroma is nice but subtle, the brew smells like peaches, bready/grainy malt and a bit of vanilla. I think the taste is just like the aroma, but all the flavors are stronger especially the vanilla (in comparison to the aroma). Good balance between the peach, malty and vanilla flavors. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's slick and a bit creamy with a low/moderate amount of carbonation. It's also smooth and pretty easy to drink. I bought a 4-pack of this, and I drank the other 3 cans before I got a chance to properly review this so I'm glad I saved one! I think it's a good and tasty sessionable brew, hope Rhinegeist will bring this back at some point!

Taking their Peach Dodo to new heights, Rhinegeist uses the extras of vanilla, lactose and nitrogen gas to evoke a creamier peach cobbler effect on the palate.
A heavy shake of the can and a vigorous inverted pour reveals the same cascading effect found in Guinness Stout. But in a pale straw hued sour ale, the creamy appearance yields a stark white and dense blanket of froth for a strikingly attractive look. But that gassy barrier prevents any bold aromas from evolving while gently greeting the nose with a citrusy, orchard fruit, cidery and winey melange along with a yogurt-like twang. Skim sweetness tilts through the foam and splashes the tongue with light taffy, agave, sourdough and sweet cream.
Much like the Peach Dodo, the fruity German styled Gose floods the tastebuds with a sourness of lemon, apple, white grape, gooseberry and the fresh peach character that's expected of the original. Balanced with a measure of residual wheat, a creaminess of grain is given extra boldness with the milk sugars and vanilla additions that bring out those cobbler flavors well. Light on sweetness, the sourness wins the late palate with that bready and winey tone taking hold easily.
Creamy to start but falling off fast, the beer looses its bubbles rapidly dissipate and the ale goes flat halfway though the session. Meant for consumption at a very fast rate, Nitro Cobbstopper might have a dessert-like intention but its refreshment and high rate of drinkability makes it also a summertime quencher.
