Strawberry and cream ale. Poured from a can that was shaken vigorously, cracked slowly, and poured vertically (not at the same time) into a DFH IPA glass. After that, I watched the cascade (what there was of it). The pour is light amber in color with tiny bubbles which slowly make their way to the surface, forming a thin, fine head (this beer looks sooooo much more impressive on tap). The nose has some faint malty notes as well as some fruity tones (berries, apples, and pears).
Light body with a sharp, sour flavor that is all the worse because the beer gets flat almost immediately. Apple skins, cider, and lemon up front. The tart notes are strong and persist across the palate. I get some of the strawberry near mid-palate, but it has difficulty asserting itself from among all the acidity.
Overall, I have to say the canned version of this beer is as sub-par as sub-par can be (or maybe I just got a bad can). If you have the opportunity to try it on tap, I highly recommend it. The mammoth head of creamy foam really complements the sharp sour notes in a way that I had not experienced in a beer before. Avoid the cans though. This was a HUGE disappointment.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
