It's a shame it's a limited edition. Nitro Luck feels like a slightly heavier Guinness, and carries similar notes of toasty coffee. More pronounced pretzel flavor. A very, very refreshing stout!

Canned 1/21/22; drank 3/26/22 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque muddy brown appearance.
A violent pour yielded a nice khaki nitro head; strong, frothy lace.
Fresh earth, mild dark chocolate & faint mint notes in the nose.
Creamy, medium mouthfeel.
Creamy oats, faint fresh earth and the slightest hint on mint on the palate.
That nice nitro mouthfeel & look, but the same result that usually happens...a pretty dull beer. Not one I'll return to.

I love the instructions on the can. I shook vigorously and poured vertically as instructed. The show was worth the cost of admission. The head after the show is VERY thick like crema. Nose is chocolate and slightly coffee. Taste is where things become a bit disappointing. Lackluster at best.

Awe yea! You just know that warmer weather is on the way when luck be with you in the beer aisle. Rhinegeist's celebration of all things irish is just that signal to break out the t-shirts as well as the four-leaf clovers and usher them all in with a nitro-infused Irish Stout.
Nitro Luck pours with a dark roast coffee appearance; black through the center yet with tawny brown shoulders, in much the same was a original Luck. But with a patient cascade of tightly woven bubbles, its creamy dense cap proves sturdy and longlasting. A somewhat muted scent of coffee, cream, light smoke, light vanilla and striations of caramel and toffee swirl about the nose, its initial flavors pick up on those mild sweetnesses of toffee and caramel along with a roasted nuttiness, burnt toast and an emphasis on those coffee characteristics.
As the sweetness slowly drifts, the dryness of the stout becomes its greatest sounding board, but only after fighting through the creamy foam barrier. Caramel and toffee dissolve and the dry taste of french press coffee begins to couple with the char of seemingly burnt toast, roasted pecan and a pep of bitter cocoa. Moderately bitter late, much of the broad and woodsy bitterness that's experiences is largely chocked up to a roast-derived bitterness by mistake. These subtle hops tuck nicely inside the roast and sell the taste of coffee well.
Medium bodied, very creamy to start, but trending strikingly dry for modern day stout, the dry roast, light alcohol and woodsy hops all facilitate a shockingly dry, arid and even powdery texture that's a slight variation from ash despite edging dangerously close to seeming watery. A return of caramel and nutty remnants return for a light cola-like taste as the brief aftertaste of coffee and campfire drifts briefly in aftertaste.

16 ounce nitro CANNED 01/31/20 (no widget, just forced nitro in the can) poured into a tulip pint glass at fridge temp 4.8% ABV. The beer pours dense black with nearly no light penetration and typical nitro khaki head. The head recedes to an 1/8" cap and sticks. Minimal lacing. The aroma is minimal with a touch of baker's chocolate and some earthy & roasty notes. The taste is minimal as well with watery roasted malt, faint earthy hops and a dark chocolate & slightly ashy, roasted malt driven minimal bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium plus bodied with below average nitro feel and a mostly dry finish. Overall, poor. This is just not well put together. Watery, mildly sweet and extremely bland. You're better off with a Guinness draught (although I'm not a huge fan of that beer either).
