From the growler via Jungle Jim's Eastgate in a snifter. This beefy monster
pours a rich coal black, with thin tea highlights, and a nice head of tan foam that
settles to a thick ring, thin wafting layer, and shows some nice light lacing.
Nose of cardamon, dark roasted malts, light coffee, dark chocolate, and faint
cream. Flavors hit the mark with dark roasted malts, dark coffee, dark chocolate,
light char, definite cream, and herbal cardamon on the fore and finish of the brew.
Nice mouth feel; full body, smooth, silky, moderately coating, light carbonation,
and a nice roasted and herbal cardamon finish.
Overall; while I am no huge fan of the spice, this is a SOLID
brew worth trying!
