I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from my local Giant Eagle store. It poured a hazy copper with off white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had dank dark citrus fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet malt base to balance the bitter citrus hops with subtle pine resin highlights. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

Pours a deep amber color with a thick cap of dense white head.
Aroma of caramel, citrus and pine.
Flavor of grapefruit and orange peel. Slight caramel sweetness is balanced by a dank bitter finish.
Mouthfeel is a bit thinner than expected. Good carbonation.
Overall this is a solid west coast DIPA

Pouring a vivid gold and shedding a fine haze, Employee Owned IPA releases a light, arid and frothy eggshell crown before drifting onto the nose with an earthen hop profile of pepper, grasses, weathered citrus, hemp, hay and pine. Its sweeter impressions are light and of mild honey, wafer and candied nuttiness.
The focus swiftly shifts to the hops once the ale crosses the middle palate. Bolder flavors of pine, spruce, grass, hemp and hay all rise with a citrusy taste that frames a prominent grapefruit taste. Orange peel, dried mango and lime each have a branch dried character before turning bitter with fruit peels, black tea, peppery herbs and a strong resinous pine taste as the flavors finish out.
Medium bodied and trending dry for a stronger ale, the Imperial IPA ends on a dirtier, earthier hop profile that makes it more west-coast in nature. A gin-like collection of herb and spice fuels a drying finish with a long and gripping bitterness that registers in aftertaste.
