Whangamata. Bits of obsidian pepper the beach like tiny black mountains. In the distance, Whenuakura dunks placidly, frosted with lush green trees. Mmmm...juicy...

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours hazy yellow orange with a fluffy white head. Smells of citrus and earthy hops. Tastes of earthy and citrus hops with just a hint of pine. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

12 oz. can, 03/30/22. Nine month old IPA isn't typically my thing, but that's what I get for not noticing dates. Saw this sixer at the local beer spot. "Juicy India Pale Ale" per the can.

Poured to a Piraat snifter.
Pours a cloudy, hazy, juicy orange IPA body. Definitely "hazy" or 'New England Style' in appearance. Finger of soapy white head that leaves some scattered lacing. Appears adequately carbonated. Looks delicious, I won't lie..
Aromas of fresh citrus, citrus juice, orange zest, grapefruit, mango. Slightly doughy or bready (malts?) with just a sliiight hint of must in there. A tiny whaff of alcohol fumes & perhaps just a note of caramel / leafiness begins to emerge.
Nine months in the can has not killed the juice contained within = this thing is still super fresh, juicy, fruity, & hoppy. Notes of orange, tangerine, grapefruit, and their accompanying zests, pine, resins. Super hoppy & bitter.
Super smooth, crisp, & easy-drinking. Hoppy, bitter, piney / resinous finish. Light-bodied with a modest abv. This one is very nice.

Rhinegeist Brewery Cloud Harvest 08 -----4/5.

L-pours a cloudy yellow with mild head that fades quickly. No lacing
A-fruity aromas that fit the style
T-delivers on the juicy label but lacking any specific fruit flavors it ends up being kind of a flavorful hoppiness all the way through. Not particularly citrus-y or sweet. Has a mild peppery component that adds a little complexity.
F-very light body with a lingering after component
O-overall a pretty generic effort in this currently popular style and not one that stands out in this rotation. Not something I’d seek out again, but still quite drinkable.

12oz can "Cloudy Morning" 5/5/22 into a pint glass.
L: Pours light straw hazy dent corn yellow w/a 3/4" white soft head w/good retention, low carbonation, light sediment.
S: Caramelized malts, light pineapple, ripe fruits, honey, floral, no alcohol detected.
T: Tangerine, citrus, citrus pith, mango, berries, light yeast. Overall quite mellow.
F: Not too juicy w/a slightly drying finish. Extremely soft, doe-eyed feel.
O: A velvety smooth mild, soft fruity and delicate touch. No alcohol detected. Well balanced and very good in it's style.

I got a 6pck of cans of this beer from my local meijer store. It poured a hazy golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had fresh berry and mango notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with mild citrus fruit and subtle pepper finish. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

Whenever a new Cloud Harvest iteration is on the shelf I immediately try it out. Hints of past flavors from other iterations remain and I don’t find that one beats the rest. Still if you like a solid fruity IPA this one is hard to beat and each new rotation is very tasty.

This is absolutely boring and I feel like this is 07 with a slightly different label. They both say unfiltered juicy ipa lol. Complete miss for me. I'm getting way less into this place as a whole.

Even when you can't make it to that exotic beach vacation, at least the tastebuds can. Rhinegeist looks to the New Zealand beach of Whangatata for inspiration in their eighth installment of Cloud Harvest. Chocked full of the down-under hops of Galaxy and Pacific Sunrise, and this beer takes a decidedly tropical turn.

With the backdrop of additional hops of Citra, Amarillo and Cascade, Cloud Harvest 08 pours with a light golden, but translucent, pasty haze before swooning the nose with a bevy of tropical fruit that's laced with citrus, herb and general fruity brightness. Its first sip shows a malty underpinning with the juicy sweetness of cereal and bready malts that give the impressions of shortcake, agave and honeysuckle.

Once the hops unfold on the middle palate, the taste brightens with a starburst of pineapple, peach, pear and honeydew with a coconut softness. Seeming cocktail-like, the taste also invites a background of tangerine, lemon, grapefruit and papaya before trending herbal, tea-like and pleasantly grassy with its balancing bitterness.

Medium-bodied, creamy and dry all in the same sip, the Cloud Harvest finishes on the drier side of malty-dry and with an extension of green tea, hemp, lemongrass, verbena and sassafras to keep the exotic flavors flowing.

CH 08 pours a murky, yet clean straw yellow. Scents of melon, peach, berry. This washes out a bit more than previous CH versions, lots of melon, some berry and citrus. Not overly sharp, could use a touch more bite. Still a pretty solid offering
