It was lighter bodied than I was expecting, with plenty of chocolate flavor that wasn't overwhelming.

Pouring a dark bark-brown and layering with a delicate creme froth, Chocolate Moose quickly draws in the nose with milk chocolate, vanilla, caramel and cream. With it’s first sip, the lush malty flavors of chocolate and cream swoon in a milky, light and creamy display.
But that’s where most of the pleasantries end. As the stout rounds out the middle palate, the sweetness settles from a caramel and chocolate tone to a watery cola-type of sweetness that extends into a finish of woodsy bitterness, stale coffee and thinning cola.
Mild in its textures, the lighter bodied stout finishes flimsy and weak, loosing its carbonation and completely falling flat on the finish. An aftertaste of coffee and cola leaves much to be desired in a medium length aftertaste.
