Poured from a 12-oz can seven weeks after its filling date into a flute glass.
Look: Clear pale gold, few bubbles rising, with a massive fluffy white head with outstanding retention; abundant lacing.
Nose: Grassy hops dominant, cracker underneath.
Taste: Attack is cracker and bready malt; the solid malt flavor with a little malt sweetness then smoothly transitions into a light hop bitterness to finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium light ā appropriate to style ā with perfect carbonation.
Overall: This easy drinker is a very good example of a southern German Pilsner. While I have several other favorites of this style (Ayinger, Roadhouse, Northern Row), I hope they keep making this, and Iād happily order it or keep a regular six of it in my beer fridge or cellar. Nice work, Rhinegeist!

On tap at Wicked Wilderness Pub in Thomas, WV. Wildflower Pilgrimage 2026. We were carded and DW didn't have her id...... No drinking for her! :)
They had this listed as an IPA, but after offering and trying, i asked the barkeep
the name of beer. Turns out, it's not an IPA!, but this German Pilsner.
Very tasty for a pilsner! Bready and cracker with a hint of vanilla. I'm not a pilsner fan, but this is good!

12 ounce can - $1.75 at Woodstock Beer Market in Woodstock, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a yellow-gold body, a touch hazy with a thinning, brief, white head.
Smell: A spicy-floral note is immediate backed by a little vague fruitiness. Subtly dry breadiness from the malt.
Taste: Lightly bready, lightly grainy with minimal sweetness. Spicy-floral hops, though the fruitiness pops a bit more in the flavor with a vinous white wine vibe. Light bitterness. The floral, winy accent holds through the finish.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium-light carbonation.
Overall: So-so.
