I am on the last of six of these beauties over that last few days. Alas.

They open a dirty yellow hazy and not particularly foamy. The aroma is a not too pronounced hazy IPA stench. Ther taste excels just like most everybody's attempt at this style. It's a big load of flavor with a fair amount of alcohol within, but it goes down easy enough - you know you had a substantial brew.

Recommended. I think these were a good value and the date canned is clearly marked, insuring freshness. Stuff like this is usually gone in a flash from my fridge. Gimme more.

 

 

 

 

Not too hazy, not too dry, Rhinegeist have excelled at the “juicy” game. One that borrows from elevated bitterness but New England fruitiness and built for stability and longevity, but preferred fresh.

Golden amber and carrying a common hoppy haze, Mysticore builds a frothy white cap and a wafting scent of citrus, tropical and spruce herbs in a bold hop display. Sweeter in its upstart, the early taste brings aspects of honey, caramel and toasted flavors to resemble light granola and shortcake.

As the sweetness relaxes on the middle palate, the hops grow to bring a branch ripe zing of red grapefruit and tangerine. Trending more tropical, the fruity flavors of mango and pineapple seem bursting at their seams. Additional flavors of peach and apricot keep the fruit cocktail flowing deep into a bitterness of pine, hemp, peppery botanicals and fragrant woods.

Medium-full and remarkably drinkable for such strong ale, the mystical beer shares the best of both worlds into a long, spicy and botanical finish akin to gin and curracao.
