Imperial Stout with blackberry aged in Syrah barrels
A shadowy leviathan is breaching the surface... Infused with a generous addition of blackberries and aged in Syrah barrels, this elusive and colossal Imperial Stout resounds with notes of ripe red berries, toasted oak and dark chocolate. Can you hear the song of The Night Whale?

Great looking black with a thick sticky tan head. Lots of red fruit, berries and red wine. All of that just over did it for me. Nice full body and lighter carb

16.9 ounce bottle, 2025 vintage. Served in a Rhinegeist snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about a half inch tan head that stuck around for a while. There's also a good amount of lacing. Well the name of the beer fits the aroma, it smells mostly like blackberries and red wine, along with some roasted malt, dark chocolate, oak and some coffee. For the most part the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some caramel and earthy flavors. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's creamy and a bit slick with a moderate amount of carbonation. A little boozy but still easy enough to drink. I liked this one a lot, definitely worth picking up especially if you like blackberries and/or red wine barrel aged brews!
