Hannover 4/9 2016. 33 cl bottle from Hotel Mariotts bar. Another feature in Beck’s craft beer endeavors. This time with a "Traditionell Frisch" tagline.
Pours clear yellow with a small white head. Settles as a thin rim of foam.
Aroma of sweet malts, grass and a little sourness. Kinda subdued.
Medium strong carbonation and a watery palate.
Flavor is lightly sweet followed by a medium strong bitterness which lingers in the aftertaste.
Decent pilsner - but rather generic. More interesting than the standard brand - but that ain’t saying very much.

From the bottle purchased on clearance in Rothenburg (Tauber), it pours a clear golden color with a luscious head. Lots of bubbles streaming from the base to keep it up. Grain in the nose. Grain in the mouth. Some hop presence, but not a huge hop presence. Overall, a pleasant beer.

Fresh nose with fruity notes. Deep slightly sweet taste. Germans would say "süffig"

330ml bottle, poured into La Chouffe tulip.
A: Golden, apple juice like, clear, two finger head which disappeared fairly quickly, some lacing, fairly lively looking.
S: Strong malt, some yeast.
T: Malty, slight honey, tiny amount of bitterness at the finish.
M: Watery texture, smooth, could have been crisper.
O: Hard to really figure out where they wanted to go with this one, wasn’t
overly hoppy so I doubt it will attract craft drinkers and probably won’t do anything for a hardened Becks fan.

So close to regular Beck's that it is not even worth brewing. At least it is a Pilsener like it says and not something else. The smell is a bit more various opposed to regular Beck's, the carbonation is pretty low.

From bottle
A bit fuller than a regular Beck's, still easy drinkable, due to its light body.
Tastes of biscuity, bready malts, accompanied by a lively, slightly coppery carbonation, which reveals a decent, grassy hop presence, which doesnt turn out particular bitter or dry, due to overly toffeeish malts. Finishes with malts and copper, while hops dont shine at all.
Boring, this reveals a bit more body than the regular Beck's, which on its own is still not enough to convince. The malts are more pronounced but still too sweet, with hops getting completely washed away by the high carbonation, leaving back a metallic taste.

Like the two other new Becks Products (Pale Ale /Amber Lager) not worth relatively high the price. Sad :(

L:
clear golden with a quickly dissipating bubbly head.
almost no carbonation visible
S:
-grassy

-belgian yeast banana and candy
T:
banana and bubblegum
no detectable bitterniss

really boozy for a 6%er
low-medium carbonation
very thin on the backend
O:
tastes more like a bad belgian blonde than a Pilsner.
