Juicy and tropical, even paler and hoppier than Five Points Pale. Dry hopped with Citra and Galaxy hops. This beer started life as the Five Points & Field Day collaboration beer Ten Points Pale, brewed for Field Day Music Festival 2016.

330ml can from Bachus Off License, Shoreditch (£2.99):
Pale golden with a lot of bubbles through the body & a half cm, bubbly white head & some visible carbonation. It's a juicy citrus nose with light tropical notes & grapefruit but it could've been a lot stronger, there was some pine & lemons towards the end too. The taste was similar with grapefruit & citrus coming through alongside some mango & orange. It's tangy & well-carbonated with a light-medium body & a subtle hop bitterness through but it was a little light overall.

330ml can. Opaque, yellow/gold with a thick, long-lasting head of white foam that leaves many rings of lacing. Smells strongly of grapefruit & pith. Taste follows the nose plus a good deal of grassy, hoppy bitterness. Grapefruit turns to green tea. Light body with moderate carbonation and an astringent finish. The dry hopping is very evident. It’s much more bitter & dry than juicy & tropical.

CAN
Platinum, canned fruit salad nose, hint of cracker then dank, grass and melon; crisp yet oily.

Citra, Galaxy

Smells really Galaxy, tastes really Citra. Not just juice; a couple of moves. Leaner than a Session IPA (if we’re wondering about the “X”) but defo not lagery. Job done.

Pours light straw coloured into a glass from a can. The head is white, large and very foamy with large whispy bubbles. There is a sticky lacing left on the sides.

The aroma is quite soapy and pithy with notes of bitter grapefruit, sweet passionfruit and some orange peel. The flavour follows on as expected however quite a sight more bitter than the aroma suggests. It bowls you over initially, building towards a crescendo then falling off before it becomes too much. Things then take a turn into fruitier territory, some clementine, grapefruit and lemon peel, as it evens itself out. The backend is all leafy hop bitterness and lemongrass with an inkling of something herbal underneath. You can definitely tells this ale has been dry hopped.

The body is light, crisp and dry with a good refreshing bitterness to quench the thirst. Carbonation is just right and slightly fizzy which adds to the crispness.

Overall this is a nice pale ale, very sessionable but perhaps just a tad unbalanced towards the end. Could've done with a bit more sweetness in my opinion but still fair.
