Appearance -
Murky copper colour, plenty of dark yeast particles provide a hazy appearance. Pours a thick and cloudy cappuccino style head. Leaves plenty of lacing. No visible carbonation.
Smell -
Elderflower, pine, hop resin, mandarin, orange, pineapple, and a hint of caramel.
Taste -
Starts off with mineral water-like qualities before you get a big apricot nectar hit. There are also hints of mandarin, orange and lemon zest. Finishes with a bit of hop bitterness, but overall it's not as bitter as the nose would suggest. It's quite balanced with a buttery smoothness, and hints of almond.
Mouthfeel -
Although it's hard to see the effervescence, the carbonation provides plenty of bite and pop on the tongue. Relatively thick and creamy consistency. Refreshing and clean finish makes this very drinkable.
Overall -
Overall a very drinkable beer with an enjoyable flavour. The flavour may be a little on the subdued side, but drinkability is high.
