This is the last of my beers from Christmas 2023, this one making it all the way to late June of 2024.
L: Jet black, with a thin, coffee-coloured head and no visible carbonation. Yes, it's a stout...
S: The nose smells of rich, dark caramel malts and umami savouriness.
T: The taste is similar to the nose, with a rich caramel base and a touch of lime that becomes sweeter as the beer warms, some coffee and dark chocolate, and hints of booze. It's quite bitter but ends fresh and spritzy from the lime note I'm picking up. Now, I'm sure there's no lime in this beer, so I assume there are citrusy hops here that are causing me to taste it. Regardless, it's very nice!
M: The mouthfeel is full and smooth, but there's a greater-than-expected carbonic kick on the swallow. All is in order here, though.
O: I enjoyed this beer. It's a simple. non-adjuncty stout that presents well and holds interest right through the glass's end.
Cheers!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
