A bourbon Barrel-aged blend of Quad (40%), Cascadian Brown Ale (20%) and Grand Cru (40%)
This is a wonderfully complex blended BA beer thats sort of hard to pinpoint in terms of flavor. The beer pours a deep, dark brown similar to root beer. The beer tastes bigger than 9.4% but is admirably smooth and light for what it is. The barrel flavor comes through strongly, probably due to subtle blend but it works in a great way that is neither overpowering nor weak; well balanced. The blend of the quad, brown and the mysterious Grand Cru (from which I assume this gets its name) taste similar to wee heavy, in my opinion.
