On tap at GABS festival in Melbourne, May 2014.
Pours a golden colour, slightly cloudy with snowy white head. Decent Belgian look.
Aroma is fairly bland. Some sweetish malt with vanilla character and then a touch of phenols. Not much to it.
Taste is Belgian. Touch of bitter nuts upfront, then gets quickly phenolic with medicinal notes, a touch of coriander and some other mild savoury spice. Not bad, but fairly standard. Doesn't quite pop.
Some noticeable alcohol on the body but it's pleasant and warming. Touch of carbonation is unwanted but not offensive.
Fairly pedestrian effort, but decent enough. Doesn't really stand out at this festival.
