A bit cloudy but good taste. Not as strong of a “blonde” taste as others labeled blondes but that is ok by me. This is solid lager

Noticed this "Old Bohemian" beer had arrived at the deli awhile ago, a single unopened case sat lonely on the shelf for a few months before they decided to break it and put individual bottles in the cooler. BBD: 12.17.12 :(
Pale straw gold color, a few stray rising bubbles, thin cap of white foam that deposits some flecks of random lacing here and there in the glass, but fades quickly. Coverage is average, there's a thin skim on the surface although it breaks after the first sips.
Aromas of wet grains, hay, ritz crackers, apple esters, wet paper. Not awful, fairly inoffensive if ice cold, but not great.
Flavors are similar, a vague grain-derived sweetness, slight papery off-notes of oxidation. A bit slick and flaccid feeling, thin bodied and "wet". Chlorinated water, tangy minerals. Not exactly crisp and clean. Didn't really feel enthusiastic about finishing the pint.
Hopefully when the next case comes in they'll put it out right away and i'll re-rate a fresher sample. For now this is what's available, unfortunately.
