This beer is so dark that it is well beyond brown ale territory and moving into barleywine character. Which really puts it out of pale ale territory, right? I feel like aspects of the beer are quite decent, though it seems to lean very much into Bitter territory. The main detractor here, as was the same for the Old McDonald Rye, is that the beer is so damn thick. Unfiltered can be nice, but this detracts. An okay beer. Again, like the Old McDonald, what an average homebrew is, or should be.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
