On-tap 11/27/2015 at Krestchmann Brewing Company in Webster, MA, served in a weizen glass.

A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a thin off-white head that fades quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma is faint but contains lager yeast, caramelized malts and some hops.

T: The taste starts out bready with flavors of lager yeast and a hearty but not too heavy malt character. Then some malt sweetness comes in. The hops presence is mild but brings some balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly bready.

M: A little crisp and a little smooth, light-to-medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: A little tasty, goes down ok, not too filling, mild kick, decent representation of style, this is a solid beer to drink for a while if you’re in the mood for the style.

On tap at Kretschmann Brewing Company.

Pours a clear copper, foamy white head, had a surface presence after a gentle pour.

Bready yeast notes take most of the aroma, some fruity esters sort of tickle around the edges.

Caramel malts take the brunt of the flavor, with some hints of apple in the background. An earthy bitter takes the finish, with brown bread for the aftertaste. Extremely tasty.

Very light bodied, medium carbonation, leaves very clean. Very drinkable.

Pours a decent fizzy bubbly 1 finger head that fades fairly quickly, a very dark copper apple juice orange almost brownish color, no lacing.

Nose again brings grainy toasted sweet malts, more amber copper toasty malts, again I think lots of Vienna and or Munich but not really candy or caramel, little fruity lager note, little soft and touch minerality.

Taste brings a little sweetness, a almost honey like character, with lots of grains and other unique flavours. Little grainy toasty malt, more copper amber malts and lots more Vienna I think. Little light soft crisp lager note but also a faint touch of a sulfur like component that's not sulfur, and more minerality. Then hops kick in, herbal grassy earthy hops that start light in bitterness and weird in flavor, then quickly ramp up. Little fruity lager note later, and into the finish it turns very bitter, like just chewed on a hop pellet spicy bitterness, the kind that just doesn't take well to a supposed Bohemian lager.

Mouth is lighter bod, very low carbonation, even for a growler.

Overall not very good. Doubt I'll drink more than a glass or two then I'll have to pawn it off on my non craft beer drinking friends. Just so many things not done well, and overall the beer itself is not a great flavor profile.
