On-tap 11/27/2015 at Krestchmann Brewing Company in Webster, MA, served in a weizen glass.
A: The beer is a deep dark brown color, with a thin off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains strong coffee, roasted malts, some chocolate and a faint touch of hops.
T: The taste starts out sweet with a strong coffee flavor. Then a hearty roasted malt character comes in. The hops presence is very mild but complementary and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly bready.
M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is dry and slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, decent kick, good representation of style, this is a very solid beer to drink for a while if you’re in the mood for the style.

Pours a deep brown, settles nearly black except around the edges. Left an off white head off a super gentle pour that was nothing but lacing by the time I got to it.
Smells of deep roasted coffee notes, some roasted malts take the tail end of the aroma.
Minor hop bite intermingles with a well defined roasted coffee flavor, the bitter is neither overpowering nor unwelcome, and beckons you to sip again.
Light bodied, surprisingly light bodied at that. With a mouth feel very similar to Guiness. Leaves mostly clean, small residue takes the finish.
