Local brewery I've gotten to try once before and glad to get down here again. Tried a sampler of their IPL, Cherry Oak Porter, and this guy, which I enjoyed the most, hence the growler:
A: This is a nice deep black with gorgeous deep ruby highlights around the edges.
S: I get some deep fig and plum scents with a nice mild chocolate and some breast malt on the back end.
T: A slight alcohol bite followed quickly by a thick chocolate leading into a dry fig on the back.
M: Medium / thick body with a slight dry finish.
All in all, this is a very solid beer. Never been a huge fan of bocks, but this one is great. Seems to have a good balance between malt sweetness and bready esters.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
