Pours a nice dark brown with practically no head, but some lacing there. Smells of sweet and not roasted malts. For a stout? whats going on... Taste follows with more of the same, sweet and caramelized, but no roasty goodness. Nor is there any body to it, thin and watered down seems to be a theme here. I don't know, this is tough, cause it isn't too bad a beer, just isn't very true ot form.

7/22/05- On tap at the San Francisco Brewing Company.
Presentation- From the tap into a pint glass.
Appearance- Black pour with a small but tight and creamy brown head. Very light lacing.
Smell- Nice amount of chocolate with some dark malt to back it up.
Taste- Deep dark roasted malt flavor with chocolate and espresso swimming around as well.
Mouthfeel- Very thin, just barely holding together. Low carbonation.
Drinkabilty- A bit too thin for a stout to be considered real good, but it wasn't bad at all.

Tap@San Francisco Brewery. Roasted, sweet choc/caramel and mild bitterness, sweet and thin. I like my stouts (and i guess most people who like stout) like them with a bit of body, a bit of guts, but this didn't have any, just too thin and sweet to be a good stout.
