Appearance and Presentation On tap, a bit warm just how I like it. The beer is an amber/orange with a lace inducing, lasting, off-white head.
Smell Piney, resinous hops, with a bit of malt sweetness. It needs more hop variety, its essentially a one note song.
Taste Bitter from the load of piney hops. The malt sweetness is present here as well, but it is completely overwhelmed by the hops. The alcohol is completely covered. For me and my east coast tongue, this beer is too bitter and unbalanced.
Mouthfeel Light mouthfeel for a DIPA, and pretty low carbonation.
Drinkability and Notes Too much bitter hoppiness for me and not enough complexity, but its hard to compain about a $2.50 on-tap DIPA.

07/22/05- On tap at the San Francisco Brewing Company.
Presentation- From the tap into a pint glass.
Appearance- Cloudy golden pour, huge 2 inch frothy head and very nice lacing.
Smell- Definitely on the fruity side. Not really a hop scent though.
Taste- Odd brew in that it is fruity and creamy, yet the hops are very mellow. They don't even come close to smacking you in the face.
Mouthfeel- Creamy and smooth, moderate perfect carbonation.
Drinkability- Hmmm, I guess if you are looking for a DIPA that is mellow and isn't a hop bomb, this is the beer for you. It was actually a nice change of pace.
