Tasted in a pint glass from draft at Narrows Brewing Company on July 31, 2018. A German pilsner recipe fermented with house yeast. The result is a golden ale that is more flavorful than a simple light beer substitute.

22 oz bottle. No bottling info

Pours a golden/yellow body that's somewhere between clear and hazy. The white head produced lots of thin lacing, some retention.

The scent is not very prominent. What I am getting mostly grain with fresh cut grass or hay. Kind of a pilsner scent. True to the style...

Taste follows...In many ways this tasted like a pilsner or a lager. There was a very slight hop presence, but it was very much under the radar

Crisp yet not overly carbonated

I thought it was very true to the style and the brewer hit all the key points of what a blonde ale is supposed to be. No this isn't an IPA... This is a "summertime and you just finished mowing the lawn", type of beer. Very pilsner like. Crisp and refreshing.

My first thought is that this was a Canadian lager when I took a gulp. But it certainly tastes more like a Pilsner than a Blonde. They even brew this with German Pilsen malt, and hops are Magnum and Hallertau Mittelfruh. Pours a yellow color with adequate foam in the chalice. Aroma is quite nice, the fruity European hop note with a long nose.

Some malty sweetness and a light but malty body. Cereal taste and dosed with the fruity and resiny hops. A pleasant beery gulp, but bitter with a mineral tang. The last pour gets a dose of sediment and an even more yeasty finish. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Haggen Market in Burlington.

Overall a good beer. However slight smell of cow pie, and a little skunky taste...

Poured into a Dogfish Head pint glass. Pours a light straw amber with gold tints with a big two finger white head with good retention and massive lacing. Interesting aroma of biscuit malt and spicy, floral hops. Flavor is light biscuit malt and grassy hops with a semi dry finish of biscuit and hop bitterness. Light to medium bodied with active carbonation. A somewhat subdued ale with the malt flavoring leaning more towards an English bitter, but with a bit more active hopping. A somewhat dry take on the golden style and the color is rather pale, but still a light and refreshing dry malty ale.
