Quite cloudy, that yellowish hard to tell what color it is, frosted looking. Quite a nice foam in the Orval chalice with plenty of spritz on the tongue. Aroma of pineapple and orange juice. More fruity flavors with an herbal astringency that lasts into the aftertaste.
This is the classic slippery and murky New England style. Go ahead and muck up a perfectly good DIPA. Reasonably drinkable, but the residual sugar and grainy gunk detract from the hoppy pleasure. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station in Bellingham.
